Vacation Rental Management Association Advocates for Safe Travel, Issues Reopening Guidelines

The Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) and its affiliate, the Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals (VRHP), have developed recommendations for reopening vacation rental properties in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The guidelines are part of the VRMA & VRHP SafeCommunity™ campaign, which, in conjunction with the SafeHome™ program, enables members to adopt and enforce comprehensive travel standards to keep their employees, guests and community safe when traveling. the reopening of their properties.

Focused on employee and guest safety during COVID-19, the guidelines include recommendations on:

  • Prevention and protection measures
  • Communication protocols
  • Secure check-in procedures
  • Measures to stay safe at home
  • Safe use of property amenities

Applicable to properties in all U.S. markets, the guidelines were developed with industry experts from across the country, including Island Time Hilton Head’s Dru Brown and the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, who led the comprehensive Path Forward Readiness initiative in South Carolina. .
